Beyonce topples Oprah Winfrey on Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 list

MUMBAI: Beyonce has topped the annual Celebrity 100 list for 2014 which was released by Forbes on Monday, 30 June. 'Queen B', as she is rightfully called, managed to dethrone last year's topper- 'Queen of All Media', Oprah Winfrey to become the most influential celebrity.

The R&B/ hip hop singer's estimated earnings from 1 June 2013 to 1 June 2014 is said to be about $115 million. While she may not have been the highest earner in the last year, her fortunes come from her massively successful 'Mrs Carter World tour, which brought in an average $2.4 million per city. In addition to that her surprise album 'Beyonce' sold a record 617,000 copies in just three days, while her single 'Drunk in Love', which released in December 2013, has sold over one million copies.

However, that is not all that Bey has to her name. The 32 year old has raked in millions of dollars through her endorsement deals with Pepsi and H&M. she also has her very own clothing company- House of Dereon and a line of fragrances. The singer's rapper husband Jay Z is not far behind on the list, ranking at number six.

Other musicians to make it in the top 10 of Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 list include, veteran rapper Dr. Dre (3), R&B and hip-hop singer Rihanna (8) and pop superstar Katy Perry (9). Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Calvin Harris, Bruce Springsteen, The Eagles, Justin Timberlake, One Direction and Paul McCartney also made it to the list.
