MUMBAI: Live Viacom 18, along with Vh1 India and blueFROG will integrate Music and Art for the upcoming edition of Emerge. The music property, which is in its second edition, will feature a mix of not just local and international artistes, but also modern art, photography and more.
Emerge will kick off with DJ Dismantle performing in Mumbai, Pune and Delhi on 18, 19 and 20, respectively. Other international music acts that will be seen at the festival include Danish rock band- Go Go Berlin, Norwegian musician- Thomas Dybdahl, English alt-rock band These Raining Days and indie rock/pop band Popface from Norway.
Commenting on the creative concept of music and art, Live Viacom18 INS SVP and business head Jaideep Singh said, "At Live Viacom18, we always aim at going beyond traditional norms and experiment in the music and entertainment space. By blending music and art, some of the most creative forms of expression, we hope to envision a new experience for the creative soul. We received a positive response last year and are certain that this year will be even more exceptional."

This year, Emerge will also offer up a platform for young Indian artistes to showcase their work, enabling them to reach out to "a wide plethora of tastes and aesthetic inclinations". The festival will set up stalls and installations for different forms of art as well. Some of the artistes expected to showcase their work at the upcoming festival are New Delhi-based graphic designer Anant Ahuja, designer Mudit Ganguly and visual artist Rohan Dahiya.
Emerge has partnered with Big Cinemas and History TV18 to help promote the property in cinemas and on-air.
Last year, the festival brought a number of international talents like Jeremy Loops and Dinner and a Suit, among others, who performed in cities across India.
