Samsung announces B5702 dual-standby mobile phone
MUMBAI: Samsung has introduced an all new dual-standby mobile phone – B5702, which can run two SIM cards at the same time.
Also, it is the first dual-standby phone that supports quad-band connectivity. B5702 also features two LED lightsLight-emitting diode, says Samsung. The lights indicate the SIM card in use while there is an incoming call.
The interface can be customized as per the SIM card in use, using themes, melodies and screen savers to identify the SIM in use. Plus, there is a dedicated hot key on the side of the phone that allows switching between the SIM cards instantaneously without rebooting the handset.
Apart from all these features, the phone has a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus, FM radio with RDS, full Web-browsing, e-mail access, Bluetoothhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, USB 2.0 high speed connectivity and more.
It comes with an internal memory of 50 MB and supports external memory of up to 8 GB. Its battery supports talk time of up to 11.4 hours and standby time of up to 220.9 hours.
All this comes packed in a sleek slider handset with a thickness of just 17.5 mm. The phone shows off a metal finish and premium looks and a 2.4 inch TFT LCD display screen.
Samsung B5702 will be commercially available in the month of May 2009 in Russia and other markets. The price of the phone is yet to be announced.
