MUMBAI: The music arm of Eros International Media Limited, Eros Music, has acquired the audio rights of two upcoming Tamil horror films 'Darling’ and 'Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum’.
The company forayed into the Tamil space after the success of the sound track of the film 'Kaththi’ which marked the label’s first venture into Tamil music.
Speaking on the announcement, Soundarya A Rajinikanth who is the director - creative and head Eros Digital for south India said, "We are very keen on tapping the potential of Tamil music content. Kaththi set the benchmark and we are looking at leveraging our strength with such exciting and versatile film albums".
Eros International Media ltd music division GM Deepak Bali added, "The Tamil music market is a very robust one and growing. We feel the music consumption in the south is much more than anywhere else in the country in terms of regional languages and we are delighted to be associated with the sound track of these films. G.V. Prakash and SS Thaman are known for delivering great compositions and we are looking forward to releasing these albums".
The sound track of Sam Anton’s Darling, is composed by GV Prakash while Ramprakash Rayappa’s Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum has music directed by SS Thaman. The two films are part of Eros Music’s plans to exploit strong audio content across film genres.
With this announcement, Eros Music will retain, exploit and monetise the music rights of both films across physical and digital formats.
