MUMBAI: LIVE Viacom18 has inked a five-year deal with Danish rock band- Go Go Berlin. The deal includes live gigs and performances throughout the country every year for the next five years.
The news was confirmed to Radioandmusic.com through various sources. The band performed at Mumbai's blueFROG on Wednesday, 12 November and will perform at blueFROG Pune on Thursday, 13 November and Vapour Bangalore on Friday, 14 November. This is their maiden trip to India with LIVE Viacom18's Emerge. It is a platform Conceptualised by LIVE Viacom18, in association with Vh1, and in partnership with blueFROG.
The Silkeborg-based band was formed in 2010 and consists of five members; lead vocalist and guitarist Christian Vium, guitarist Mikkel Dyrehave, keyboardist Anders S?ndergaard, bassist Emil Rothmann and drummer Christoffer ?stergaard. The band has released one album- 'New Gold' under Mermaid Records, which is largely owned by Sony Music Entertainment Denmark.
The band said that since they have been touring for two years, they have not had much time to record original music, though they have been writing new music in between gigs. They also said that they have a good relationship with Sony and that their upcoming music will also be released under Mermaid Records. The band also stated that next year when they return, they would like to play at an arena as opposed to live music performance clubs.
