Fever FM Mumbai runs campaign to eradicate Dengue in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Fever FM Mumbai, the ‘Entertainment Ka Baap' has launched a campaign that addresses the rising number of Dengue cases in the city.

The station joined hands to launch a Mumbai city fumigation drive as a preventive measure due to the rising Dengue cases in the island city. Every fourth hospital bed in the city seems to be occupied by a Dengue, Malaria or Typhoid patient. The deluge of monsoon-related ailments long after the rains has made it daunting to find beds in both private and public hospitals.

Fever FM Mumbai's morning show RJ's Rangeeli Ruchi & Glenn noticed a steep rise in callers complaining about various parts of the city infested with mosquitoes; especially areas in Mahim, Mulund & Dharavi. They then connected with the BMC office to cross-check & once this was confirmed to be the case, RJ Glenn joined the BMC Brigade Kar& executed a thorough fumigation drive across the city.

The RJ duo connected with Mumbaikars, heard them out and then went onground. The campaign also aims towards educating listeners on precautions and steps they should take to avoid Dengue.

Commenting on the campaign, HT Media business head- radio and entertainment Harshad Jain says, "Radio as a medium is extremely local. We at Fever Mumbai believe in taking up initiatives that can make a difference in a life of the Mumbaikar. The number of Dengue cases in the city has been growing, with this campaign we are asking the people in Mumbai to inform us about the affected areas they know and Fever, along with BMC will help eradicate the problem".

Popular celebrities like Ranvir Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, authorities and officials like the BMC have joined the campaign.

Listeners cantune into the station every morning from 7 AM onwards & listen to how RJ Rangeeli Ruchi &  RJ Glenn wake Mumbai City with their signature dose of Madness only on Fever FM – Entertainment Ka Baap.
