MUMBAI: Big FM, India's largest FM radio network is all set to celebrate India's 66th Republic Day this year in a special way. A pioneer in supporting social causes in India, Big FM announces the launch of 'Big Hawaizada Heroes', a nationwide initiative that will celebrate the lives and works of the unsung heroes in India on 26th January 2015. The launch of the initiative reiterates the preamble of Republic Day - fundamental rights, duties and principles.

Big FM has always made a conscious effort towards the betterment of society after shepherding various campaigns like Big Disha that extends support to educate youth in rural areas to Big Durga that focuses on cleaner and greener Durga Puja and Darya Dili, an endeavour to support people battling against the bitter cold and provide warm winter clothes and other essentials to those in need. This year, the radio network has come together yet again to highlight the true patriotic sprit of a unified India with Big Hawaizada Heroes.

Big FM through its most popular show 'Breakfast Show' with the maximum listenership will kick start the initiative and call out to listeners urging them to enter names of the citizens of India who deserve to be in the spotlight for the selfless work towards their society, those who have quietly done the noble deed and not spoken about it. The 'Big Hawaizada Heroes' initiative will be channelised across the country through the 45 station network of Big FM on 26 January, 2015. Big FM will lead the entire movement on the basis of SMS entries by listeners who will recommend people who they know have worked towards bettering the society.

Once the entries are received, the Big FM team will start groundwork on the eligibility of the individual and their work before showcasing it on the station from 26- 30th January. The Hawaizada Heroes will be felicitated by Big FM along with the lead cast of Hawaizada.
