Former Live Nation SVP Mark Norman joins AEG Live

MUMBAI: Former Live Nation SVP of global touring, Mark Norman, has been named as the AEG's senior vice president of global touring. The veteran will report to global touring president John Meglen.

At AEG Live, Norman will play a critical role in the acquisition and negotiations of global touring rights for artistes. He will also work closely with Meglen and his team, in his tenure with AEG Live.
Furthermore, he will strengthen and streamline the relationships within locally based AEG promoter-partners.

Norman spent four decades in the music industry with expertise in live space. Prior to joining AEG Live, he worked with Live Nation for more than six years. His years of experience will be used for creating and overseeing the marketing and operations for AEG Live's international tours. He has successfully executed several national and world tours including Bruno Mars, Nickleback, Shakira, Il Divo and Cirque du Soleil.

He was with Concert Productions International (CPI) for a little over two years as the president of global touring. He also served TGA Entertainment and House of Blues at senior management level.

"I look forward to working alongside John Meglen, Paul Gongaware, Andrew Zweck and Adam Wilkes and the rest of the AEG Live team throughout the world to continue to create a collaborative, boutique alternative partnership option for global touring artists," said Norman. "While I am extremely mindful of all of the support and knowledge that I have gained throughout my career, I am thrilled to once again be working alongside Jay Marciano and John."

Meglen said, "Mark's experience is exactly what we were looking to add to our AEG Live team as we continue to promote many of the leading worldwide tours in addition to expanding AEG Live's portfolio of world-class artists."
