MUMBAI: To connect with the music fraternity and consumers Hungama.com, India’s largest Music service, has entered into a strategic tie-up with the Global Indian Music Academy (GiMA).The premier brands have come together with a common vision of celebrating and promoting musical excellence in India.

GiMA honors talent across various genres of Non Film Music and Film Music. With a total of 21 categories, the awards recognize talent spanning unique music segments such as Classical, Devotional, Pop, Rock, Indie and Folk Music etc. To celebrate the event, India’s leading digital music destination will create ‘Hungama Studio’ on the red carpet for the music community. Renowned celebrities and musical icons walking the red carpet will be invited to the Hungama Studio to pay homage to the legendarymusic maestros –Kalyanji-Anandji. As part of the tribute the artists will be asked to render a song of the duo in their own style.

Acknowledging the growing importance of digital platforms in music consumption, GiMA has introduced the ‘Most Streamed Song of the Year’ Award, in partnership with Hungama.com.

GIMA Awards 2015 are scheduled to take place at The Film City, Goregaon, on Tuesday, 24th February, 2015.
