Muse to release 'Drones' this year, announce six-date UK tour

MUMBAI: English rock band, Muse, has announced a brand new album 'Drones' to be released on 8 June this year. The highly anticipated released is the band's seventh studio album and comes a little over two years since its 2012 album 'The 2nd Law'.

Commenting on the upcoming album frontman Matt Bellamy said, "To me, 'Drones' are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behaviour with no recourse.  The world is run by Drones utilising Drones to turn us all into Drones. This album explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors."

The band also revealed that the album's first single 'Dead Inside' will release later this month. Muse will also premier another track 'Psyco' from the album on their YouTube channel on 12 March. Once pre-orders for 'Drones' begin, the track will also be made available for downloading, worldwide.

Additionally, Muse also announced a six-date smaller venue UK tour, which will begin from 15 March at Belfast Ulster Hall, and will then travel to Glasgow Barrowlands (16 March), Newport Centre (19 March), Exeter Great Hall (20 March) Manchester Academy (22 March) and finally end at Brighton Dome (24 March).

Tickets for the UK tour will be on sale from 12 March onwards. The band will also be seen as headliners of the Download Festival on 13 June this year.
