MUMBAI: Branded’s All that Matters’s 2014 edition will take off from 22 May 2014 in Singapore. Under the All that Matters umbrella figure the YouTube FanFest, Social Matters and Digital Matters and the flagship Music Matters.
A stellar group of performers and industry leaders have been lined up, which has helped the four day music and digital ecosystem get together to retain its position as the bulldog of Asian summits.
60 acts from 16 countries will play over 170 shows in nine venues across the island state. Like in previous editions, Branded has managed to build country showcases like Korea’s K-Pop Night Out, Canadian Blast, The Aussie BBQ, JAPAN Night, Bravo Taiwan and Made In Singapore. Some of the headline names who will be performing include: Taiwan’s MC HotDog, Australia’s Ash Grunwald, the Philippines’ Slapshock, Malaysia’s Bunkface, Singapore’s Gareth Fernandez, Gentle Bones, Mark Bonafide, Ming Bridges, SEYRA, Sezairi, sub:shaman, Take Two, The Pinholes, TRICK, wyd:syd and Ying Hao.

Music Matters Live with HP is to be followed up by YouTube FanFest with HP, over 24-25 May. In its ninth year, Music Matters has 202 speakers (145 last year), it expects to have 1800 attendees (1602 last year) and 65 bands from 18 countries. Estimates are that the four-day event has a budget of $1.4 million plus.
Amongst the big names expected to share their thought leadership messages include William Morris Endeavor Worldwide head of music, Marc Geiger; Live Nation president of International and Emerging Markets, Alan Ridgeway; ATC co-founder, Brian Message; Rdio CEO, Anthony Bay; Maker Studios president of International, René Rechtman; Sony Music Publishing Japan president, Ken Ohtake; Beggars Group director of Digital, Simon Wheeler; ROAR founding partner, Bernie Cahill and Universal Music boss Max Hole.
Music Matters also has in its portfolio the Music Matters Academy which seeks to give guidance and mentoring to young professionals and also help them study the business.
