RAM: Bengaluru has higher TSL compared to other metros

MUMBAI: Compared to the other metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, Bengaluru recorded the highest TSL (Time Spent Listening) of 9.35, registered under Radio City. Coming in second was Big FM Bengaluru with a TSL of 7.58. The figures are based on the RAM ratings for week 17.

However, while Fever FM held the third position in terms of TSL (7.16), it had a lower market share (12.5 per cent) as compared to Radio Mirchi, which registered a market share of 17.1 per cent and a TSL of 7.04.

Radio City Mumbai registered a market share of 18.3 per cent, followed by Big FM and Fever FM. In Mumbai, Fever FM had highest TSL of 6.54 compared to Big FM’s TSL of 6.44. Radio Mirchi took the fourth position with a market share of 13.4 per cent and TSL of 4.16. Big FM’s show ‘Suhana Safar’ with Anu Kapoor registered the highest TARP of 5 per cent (25+ years), followed by Radio City’s ‘Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi’ with RJ Gaurav and Big FM’s ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Siddharth. Two Radio Mirchi shows- ‘Purani Jeans’ with RJ Sayema and ‘Hi Mumbai’ with Jeeturaj, registered a TARP of 2.4 and 2.3 per cent, respectively.

In Delhi, Fever FM maintained the number one position with a market share of 18.7 per cent and registered the highest TSL of 5.08 in the city. Radio Mirchi took second place with a market share of 13.3 per cent and TSL of 3.37. Meanwhile, Big FM registered TSL of 3.47 and held the third place with a market share of 12.4 per cent, followed by Radio City and Red FM, each with market shares of 11.9 and 11.1, respectively. Shows like ‘Evening Drive’ with Nitin, ‘Dilli ke Do Dabang’ with Manu and Abhilash,  Suhana Safar’ with Anu Kapoor, ‘Full on Punjabi’ with RJ Avinash, and ‘Hi Delhi’ with RJ Rohit, did well in the city.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi held the top spot with a market share of 19.2 per cent and TSL of 4.4. Big FM came in second with a market share of 14.3 per cent and TSL of 4.45. In third place was Fever FM, while Oye FM stood fourth. Radio Mirchi’s ‘Kaali Kotha’ with RJ Jaganath and ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Mir, Big FM’s ‘Breakfast Show’ with RJ Khas Koushik, Fever FM’s ‘Mad Mornings’ with RJ Shekhar and RJ Manali and Radio Mirchi’s ‘Coffee House Classic ‘ with RJ Riya were the top five shows in the city.
