MUMBAI: Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax has launched the much awaited Canvas Doodle 4, the fourth generation of the Canvas phablet series in India.
The device features a huge 6.0-inch qHD IPS screen with a respectable resolution of 960x540p, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 Shield. The Canvas Doodle 4 boasts a 1.3GHz Mediatek quad-core CPU, running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory (expandable up to 32 GB).
Powering it is a high capacity 3000 mAh battery and claims to give the phone a standby time of close to 300 hours and talktime of 10 hours. The device features both a front and rear camera. The rear, 8.0-megapixel camera features LED flash, auto-focus and full HD video recording, while the front camera is a 2.0-megapixel.
The phone also features Dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and a micro-USB slot. It does not however have stylus support like its predecessor.
The device is priced at Rs 9,499, a slight increase compared to the previous generation Canvas Doodle 3 which was priced at Rs 8,500.
