Andy Mooney appointed CEO for Fender Musical Instruments Corporation

MUMBAI: Musical instruments company, Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) has appointed Andy Mooney as CEO of the company, and he will start his term immediately, stated the release.  Mooney will be responsible for driving the brands of the company.

FMIC board co-chairman and CEO of Servco Pacific Inc, Mark Fukunaga said, "Andy has proven success in connecting consumers to brands. His personal passion for Fender guitars and the company's long and storied history makes him a great fit for our culture. We are tremendously excited to have an executive of Andy's caliber at the helm of Fender and we look forward to great success in the future under his leadership."

Prior to joining FMIC, Mooney worked with companies like Quicksilver Inc, Disney, Nike Inc, and DCP.  He worked for Nike Inc for a couple of decades, and during his stint with Disney he oversaw the worldwide licensing, publishing and retail businesses.
