MUMBAI: ReverbNation, the company that has helped millions of emerging artists advance their careers, announced today that they have formed a strategic relationship with Hitcher Music, the highly respected boutique music services firm, to generate film, television, video game and advertising opportunities for key artists on the ReverbNation roster. The announcement falls quickly on the heels of other significant strategic relationships ReverbNation has recently established, including alliances with Sentric Music for music publishing and SESAC for performing rights representation.
Under the agreement Hitcher Music will exclusively represent a select number of CONNECT artists, members of ReverbNation's newly launched artist development incubator, to create film, television, video game and advertising opportunities for their music. The CONNECT program develops promising artists in the ReverbNation community who are identified through the company's proprietary curation-at-scale capability.
Founded by film and television executive Joe Rangel, Hitcher Music specializes in licensing, music supervision, marketing and original music production. The company represents a wide variety of major and independent artists, labels, publishers and management companies around the world.
"Joe and his team have built an impressive multi-tiered company with deep relationships in the film, TV and advertising communities," said ReverbNation Chief Creative Officer Simon Perry. "As we continue to bring CONNECT artists meaningful opportunities to grow their audience and increase their visibility within the music industry, we believe that Hitcher Music can play a vital role in the development of our artists' careers."
"The quality of artists in ReverbNation's CONNECT program is truly impressive," said Hitcher Music Founder and CEO Joe Rangel. "We believe we can be successful in securing significant opportunities for these artists early in their careers."
Hitcher works with the world's best-known film and television companies and brands. Recently the company has licensed independent and major label artists into films as ‘Pitch Perfect 2', Entourage, television shows as ‘Empire' and ‘The Vampire Diaries,' and delivered music to brands including Bud Light, Coors and Acura.
