Big FM's 'Chora Ganga Kinare Wala' now in Allahabad

MUMBAI: Big FM has consistently spearheaded initiatives that create awareness about preserving the environment, one such campaign being ‘Chora Ganga Kinare Wala’In its second season this year, after a successful run at Sarsaiya Ghat in Kanpur earlier this month, the campaign has now expanded to Allahabad, which will kick-off from 19th to 24th June at Sangam Tat. BIGMagic Ganga, the number one regional channel of Bihar, Jharkhand and the Purvanchal region is the official TV partner for this initiative.

The campaign will see children as agents of change, who will be spearheading the movement through active participation. In order to call for prompt action, RJ Nevesh will shift his LIVE STUDIO to Sangam Tat.

Speaking about Season 2 of ‘Chora Ganga Kinare Wala in Allahabad’, RBNL EVP and business head, Ashwin Padmanabhan said, “We, at Big FM, truly believe in creating awareness about preserving the environment and inviting locals to spread the message. The first season of ‘Chora Ganga Kinare Wala’ received a fabulous response and we were keen to introduce the second season in a bigger and better way. Inviting kids to drive the crusade was important for us as they are the future of our country and will be carriers of our nation’s development. We hope that our endeavor strikes a chord with the people and they actively encourage their children to participate and help in bringing about the change.”

He further added, “We are confident that our initiative will encourage the residents of Allahabad, as we did in Kanpur,  to be more responsible towards their environment and that we will receive unprecedented support to bring about positive changes in the city's environment."

On this initiative, RJ Nevesh said, “I am proud to be a part of this fabulous campaign. This is the first year in Allahabad and the location is Sangam Tat, following an approach to clean all ghats and consequently Ganga. I have been joined by Bal Gopal’s (children) of the city to drive the crusade. Children have a very simple and clear outlook towards life and we need to look at this Maha Abhiyan in a similar manner.”

RJ Nevesh will be doing live shows on a daily basis to simultaneously update people with the progress of this novel campaign through the ‘Ganga Ghat Safai Abhiyan’ capsule. He will also invite local authorities, listeners, NGOs, school kids as well as some prominent personalities on his live show to discuss the issues they face while cleaning the Ghat and the necessary action required to further the initiative.
