MUMBAI: The stage is set for the annual ‘Khazana – A Festival of Ghazals’ concert, which brings together the country’s renowned Ghazal artists for music aficionados across the globe. The festival, scheduled to take place on the 24th & 25th July 2015, will be live-streamed across digital platforms of Hungama. Audiences can view the concert on the HungamaMusic app, in the Ghazal section and Hungama.com. Activ Music subscribers on TATA Sky can also enjoy the live-stream of the concert.

Now in its 14th year, ‘Khazana – A Festival of Ghazals’ was initiated to support the Cancer Patients AID Association (CPAA) and the Parents Association Thalassemic Unit Trust (PATUT). This year, the concert will witness singers like Anup Jalota, Pt Ajay Pohankar and Abhijit Pohankar, Rekha Bhardwaj, Sandeep Batraa and Special child artists - Aishani Banerjee, Rashi Harmalkar and Varenyam Pandya coming forward to support the noble cause, on the first day of the festival.

Singers such as Pankaj Udhas, Talat Aziz, Javed Ali, Shivani Vaswani and Special children’s act put up by Aishani Banerjee, Rashi Harmalkar and Varenyam Pandya will grace the stage on the second day of the festival. Sudeep Banerjee will not only be seen winning the hearts of his audiences with his Ghazals, he will also be launching his new album ‘Dhadkan Dhadkan’ at the event.
Hungama recently collaborated with Pankajji and Aalok Srivastav to bring to its listerners their latest single called ‘Khwaabon Ki Kahaani’. This further highlights the efforts made by Hungama to bring the best content to its ghazal listeners as well as the growing demand for the genre.

Speaking on the association, Pankaj Udhas said, “From legends to gen next, it is our humble effort to take Khazana to the next level and we seek Hungama’s support in this endeavour. Long Live Ghazals!”

Commenting on the collaboration, Hungama.com CEO Siddhartha Roy said, “We are looking forward to another successful year for Khazana and are proud to be associated with Pankajji and ‘Khazana’ - a beautiful initiative, which touches so many lives. Today, Khazana has carved a niche for itself and has established a global following. We constantly strive to deliver differentiated original content to our audiences, and are sure our consumers will enjoy the ‘Khazana’ live-stream. This year, we are also happy as Sudeep Banerjee launches his new album across Hungama’s digital properties.”

Hungama’s tie up with the event over the last four years has resulted in this memorial event reaching out to national as well as international audiences. Furthermore, the successful association has won the love of digital audience across platforms and the winning streak is expected to continue this year as well.
