MUMBAI: 94.3 My FM, the Bhaskar Group radio station, celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with the launch of special on-air programmes and contests in the cities of Indore, Bhopal, Ahmedabad, Surat, Udaipur and Ajmer. The radio station has launched a contest where listeners in Surat can inform the radio station of Ganesh vandanas being performed at their homes. The station will select around five families every day and record the vandanas at their homes.In Indore, My FM gave away Lord Ganesh`s idols to the listeners` families on the eve of the festival, which were then installed by these families on 15 September at their homes.

In the city of Ajmer, the station launched a contest where in listeners were quizzed on their knowledge of Ganesha. Lucky winners were given Ganesh idols, every hour. In the city of Udaipur, the station aired `live updates` from prestigious Ganesha temples - including Ganesh vandana and bytes of devotees on their faith, prayers and wishes.In the city of Ahmedabad, the station celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with the Ganesh Sthapana in the My FM station itself. The station launched an on-air quiz on Lord Ganesh and invited the winners on the occasion of Ganesh Sthapana.
