The community radio is available on the frequency 90.4 and covers 10 kilometers of the radius.

“Last year when the elections happened, only 50 per cent of the students voted and we aim to increase the number this time and make them aware of their rights given to them,” said Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) president Mohit Nagar.

Candidates also intend to promote the medium to the students of the university.

“Very few students listen to radio and they are not well versed with the latest happenings of the university, which is why we thought to air our speeches through radio and address the students,” he further added.

The content is updated frequently by university students. The members of ABVP have not approached any other radio station for addressing the students and their main agenda would be highlighting the achievements they have got over the past one year.

The radio station airs the latest happenings of the university including the seminars, admission procedures, forms availability and various other initiatives.Delhi University's Community Radio started operating in 2007.
