Aisha

Music: Amit Trivedi

Lyrics: Javed Akhtar

Label: Sony Music

Rating: 3/5

Aisha is a girl who loves to meddle in other people's lives by playing cupid and match-making is just her fad. So the music of the film should exactly match up with its perky and chic sentiment

Amit Trivedi is one singer, musician and lyricist who composes the music for his films after cramming up with the mood and the theme of the film. Coming up with a chartbuster is no more a supercool achievement unless the track connects you to the feel that the movie puts across

The film consists of six originals and two remixes, not a single one worth missing. Listening to it for a complete half an hour, I give a thumbs up to the versatility of this 31-year old youthful composer.

Listen to 'Gal Mitthi Mitthi Bol' and I bet you would find yourself humming it and going balle balle in no time  It doesn't matter whether you are at work or elsewhere, the track just makes it tough for you to stay glued to your seat. The perfect blend of dhol, hip hop music and off course the lyrics, courtesy legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar gives the track a perfect Punjabi Tadka. Tochi has given it his best, you can hear his voice being suppressed by the pumping music. The Bombay bounce Remix version of the song is indeed groovy and in case you're a party animal, you will soon find it among the list of most widely played songs all the clubs and DJ nights. If not, Gujjus will be surely seen swinging to it during the Garba season.

'Suno Aisha' is a fun pop number that promotes the film with its lyrics woven around the central character of the film. And here you see Mr composer grabbing the mic and being supported by vocals from Addit, Nakash Aziz and Ash King. The style in which it is sung makes the song feather light and a song any peppy college going girl would like her guy to sing for her

Next comes a soft track 'Sham' for modern day Adams and Eves. It doesn't talk about lovers dying for each other but consists of no-nonsense, realistic lyrics by Akhtar. Fresh voices of Amit Trivedi, Nikhil Dsouza and Neuman Pinto come together for this track. The Boom boom boom para….sets it apart and lends it a flavor of its own

Pick up Cha Cha, Salsa, Tango or any of your favourite dance styles. Shake your leg to the foot tapping track 'Behke Behke' sung by Anushka Manchanda with a slight support from Samrat Kaushal and Raman Mahadevan. The chorus doesn't seem as fresh and you feel that you have heard it somewhere before. A mix of Spanish, Western and Indian music, you could watch out for someone performing on this at a dance-based reality shows.

'Leherein' by Anusha Mani and a very soft chorus by Neuman Pinto and Nikhil Dsouza is a dawdling track that might take you back to those bitter memories you would never want to recall. With soothing keyboard notes playing at the background, you would like to lie back on your rocking chair and listen to it peacefully when no one's around. The Bombay Bounce Remix version is not exceptional but good

Lastly, Manachanda is back with all her attitude in 'By The Way.' With Neuman Pinto backing her, this track resemble to the rocking numbers in Farhan Akhtar's Rock On. It is just the right number to be performed by you and your friends at a rock concert with a live band and a huge audience to cheer you up

Wrapping it up, Aisha is definitely not worth a miss. Amit Trivedi's music brings you back to life and Manachanda's voice drags you to the dance floor.
