Radio One climbs up in the four metros

MUMBAI: After announcing several new properties in the past few weeks, Radio One's endeavors seem to bearing fruit as the station saw an ascending graph in all the four metros. It will be interesting to see the turn of events for station in the coming weeks.

Bangalore- Big FM galloped 0.4 points in the city maintaining its lead at 19.9 per cent in week 29. Mirchi continued to slip in the city as it lost a considerable 0.4 points ending with a market share of 17.3 per cent followed by Fever which also lost 0.2 points to take home a share of 15.2 per cent. After a not so good run last week, Radio City managed to crawl back adding 0.1 points to its kitty cornering a share of 12.3 per cent. AIR FM Rainbow also lost 0.2 points in the city. Radio One's several new endeavors seem to be working for it as of now since the station gained a massive 0.4 points in the city pocketing 8.9 per cent of the market share. Coming close next is Red FM which maintained status quo at 8.8 per cent.

Delhi- Week 29 wasn't a profitable week for the FM stations in the Capital, as majority of the stations saw a cut in the listnership. Leader Mirchi lost 0.3 points and had to be content with 24.5 per cent of the market share. Fever couldn't sustain last week's good run as it lost a considerable 0.4 points to take home a share of 18.5 per cent. AIR FM Gold also saw dip in the numbers as it lost 0.1 points. At fourth position Red FM added 0.2 points to its haul eating away 9.8 per cent of the share. Radio City upped its ante in week 29 and gathered a massive 0.5 points to grab 8.7 per cent of the total pie. Big FM shed 0.1 points followed by Radio One and Meow in teh order,.both added 0.1 points to their kitty.

Kolkata- Leader Mirchi added 0.3 points in week 29 grabbing a share of 20.4 per cent thus widening the gap with its competitors. Big FM also saw a surge in its listnership as it gained 0.1 points. Both Friends and Aamar FM maintained status quo at 11.8 and 10.7 per cent respectively. Red FM saw a drop in numbers as it lost 0.1 points in week 29 followed by Fever FM which gained 0.1 points and earned a share of 8.4 per cent. Radio One continued to add numbers to its listnership in kolkata as well as it stood to gain 0.2 points taking home a  market share of 5.5 per cent.

Mumbai- The top players in the city did not fare well in week 29. Mirchi saw dwindling performance in the city as it lost 0.2 points to hold on to a share of 17.1 per cent. Red FM at second spot also lost 0.1 points to take away a share of 14.2 per cent. Radio City followed next losing 0.2 points. Last week's gainer Big FM also shed off 0.1 points and could acquire 11.7 per cent. AIR FM gold saw a no loss no gain week at 11.5 per cent. Fever FM at sixth position gained 0.1 points while Radio One, coming next, yielded 0.2 points taking a share of 6.5 per cent of the total pie.
