Big FM regains top slot in Mumbai

MUMBAI: In Mumbai, Big FM regained its position acquiring the number one spot according to the RAM statistics for week 41. However, the station’s market share and TSL decreased to 17.4 per cent and 5.48, respectively, while TARP remained unchanged at 1.2 per cent. With a reduction in market share, TSL and TARP, Radio City slipped to second position, registering a market share of 16.9 per cent, TSL of 5.16 and TARP of 1.2 per cent. The third slot was occupied by Fever FM, which had a market share of 14.9 per cent, TSL of 6.5 and TARP of 1.1 per cent. Radio Mirchi and Red FM placed at four and five, respectively, with Radio Mirchi registered a market share of 14.3 per cent, TSL of 4.2 and TARP of 1 per cent. The shows ‘Suhana Safar with Anu Kapoor’ on Big FM, ‘Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi - RJ Gaurav’ on Radio City and ‘Breakfast Show - RJ Siddharth’ on Big FM were the top three shows in the city.

Like week 40, Fever FM remained the leading radio station in Delhi. However, the radio station witnessed a drop in market share and TARP, registering 19.6 per cent and 1.4 per cent, respectively. Radio Mirchi claimed the second spot with a market share of 14.3, TSL of 3.36 and 1 per cent TARP. Big FM clinched the third spot in the capital, with a market share of 12.7 per cent, TSL of 3.59 and TARP of 0.9 per cent. In fourth position was Radio City with a market share of 11.6 per cent, TSL of 3.4 and TARP of 0.8 per cent, followed by Red FM in fifth place with a market share of 10.8 per cent, TSL of 3.2 and a TARP of 0.8 per cent. Three Fever FM shows- ‘Evening Drive-Nitin’, ‘Dilli ke Do Dabang-Manu and Abhilash’ and ‘Zara Si Life-RJ Rhicha Vyas’ were the top three shows in Delhi.

Radio Mirchi once again dominated in Kolkata, staying in the top position. However there was a slight change in the market share and TARP for week 41. Radio Mirchi’s market share in Kolkata slid down to 19.5 per cent and TARP went down to 1.6 per cent, however, the radio station witnessed an increase in TSL at 4.28 per cent. Big FM in Kolkata also retained its number two place, but witnessed a decrease in market share of 15.1 per cent. However the radio station witnessed an increase in TSL and TARP of 4.59 and 1.3 per cent, respectively. Like last week, Fever FM remained at number three, but the radio station witnessed an increase in market share, TSL and TARP, registering 13.7 per cent, 4.59 and 1.2 per cent, respectively. Aamar FM was placed at number four, with an increase in market share (10.3 per cent), TSL (4.16) and TARP (0.9 per cent). With a drop in market share and TSL, Oye FM slipped to number five. The radio station registered a market share of 10.2 per cent, TSL of 3.46 and TARP of 0.9 per cent. Two Radio Mirchi shows- ‘Kaali Kotha - RJ Jaganath’ and ‘Breakfast Show - RJ Mir’, and Big FM’s ‘Breakfast Show - RJ Khas Koushik’ from Big FM, were the top three shows in Kolkata.

With an increase in market share, TSL and TARP, Radio City remained number one in Bengaluru. The station registered a market share of 22.7 per cent, TSL of 9.52 and TARP of 2.7 per cent. Big FM remained in second position, registering a market share of 21.5 per cent, TSL of 8.22 and TARP of 2.6 per cent. Radio Mirchi remained in third position with a market share of 16.9 per cent, TSL of 7.22 and TARP of 2 per cent. Fever FM remained in fourth position with a market share of 14.3 per cent, TSL of 8.18 and TARP and 1.7 per cent. Big FM’s ‘Big Coffee with RJ Shruti’, Radio City’s ‘City Mathu with RJ Rachna’ and Fever FM’s ‘Fever Flashback with RJ Rubina’ were the shows that ruled Bengaluru for week 41.
