Roton Music expands to Latin America with Warner Music Latin America partnership

MUMBAI: Romania’s independent record label- Roton Music and Warner Music Latin America has entered into an agreement under which Warner Music will license and promote Roton’s music throughout Latin American territories.

This deal is an extension to Warner Music Group’s 2011 agreement with the label, through which Roton represents Warner’s repertoire in Romania.

Roton Music, home to names like Inna, Fly Project, Amna, Katarina, Sandra N, Otilia, Antonia, Mihail and many others, was founded in Romania after the fall of the communist regime. The label and its artists have been able to quickly gain an important position in the Romanian music market from its beginning, while in recent years it has grown beyond Eastern and Southern Europe.

Through this partnership, the label will be able to strengthen its hold in Latin America.

Roton Music MD Dan Muraru said, “We are grateful for Warner Music’s continued trust in and appreciation for Roton’s artists. As demonstrated over the past four years, our teams have accomplished great things together. We are excited and confident that music lovers throughout Latin America will enjoy exploring the Romanian sound.”

“Many of Roton’s artists are well-positioned to find success in the Latin American market,” said Warner Music Latin America president Inigo Zabala. “In fact, we have already seen the band Fly Project and Inna do incredibly well in the region. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to Roton’s continued globalization.”
