MUMBAI: Early last month was flooded with information on Pandora’s plans of acquiring Ticketfly – the software which provides marketing and ticketing software to approximately 1,200 venues and promotes events across North America. The deal was to be cracked for a whopping $450 million. And as per latest information, the online radio has finally acquired Ticketfly.
The two powerful bodies now plan to create a definitive music platform that will connect fans, artists and event promoters.
Pandora and Ticketfly, together, will now be able to update Pandora’s 78 million monthly active users to events of their choice. The entire process, in return, will help artists and promoters sell out more shows. Both companies will use their combined data to create new tools for music makers. This will help increase revenue and improve recommendations for fans to enhance their music experience.
Plans for the acquisition were originally announced on 7 October, 2015.
