Hungama and Live Viacom 18 give fans once-in-a-lifetime chance to see former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash perform live

MUMBAI: Legendary rock icon Slash is all set to make his India debut as the headliner to the latest edition of ‘MTV Indies Extreme’ - India’s only rock music and adventure sports festival. Rockers around the country will gather in Mumbai and Bangalore to see Slash perform his new studio album ‘World on Fire’ along with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. As the exclusive digital partner of the event Hungama has rolled out‘The Legend: Slash’ playlist for its users that features popular songs such as ‘Sweet Child of Mine’, ‘World on Fire’, ‘Paradise City’ and ‘Back From Cali’ on their app. Hungama is also giving subscribers a chance to see the revered guitarist performing live.

Slash, who has been voted asthe Second Best Guitar Player of All time by Times magazine is a celebrated rock guitarist, a song writer and a film producer who has amassed album sales in excess of over a 100 million. Slash has won a Grammy award in addition to seven Grammy nominations. He was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2012. The band will be promoting their new album ‘World on Fire’, which will release in India in October this year.

Hungama will be running an exciting social media contest where subscribers who have not yet got their tickets could win free passes to the much awaited event. Participants will have to send in answers to simple trivia questions based on the Slash tracks on the Hungama app to win passes. The contest will run all day on 6 November before the event kicks off in Mumbai.Hungama will set up aninnovative digital photo booth that creates GIFs using engaging imagery. To enhance the experience attendees can use funky props available at the booth.

The GIF images will be a part of a series of GIFs which will be promoted across social media and Hungama’s digital platforms with the #HungamawithSlash.

Slash will be performing at the Jio Gardens BKC in Mumbai on 7 November and at the Hard rock Café in Bangalore on 14 November.
