MUMBAI: After Star Movies and Zoom TV, publishing and talent development company-Farout Media has joined forces with Zee TV, creating a brand new track for its new show ‘I Can Do That’. The track, which has premiered as the title track on the channel, is exclusively licensed to Zee TV.
Talking about creative partnership and integration of new musical work with Zee TV, Farout Media CEO and co-founder Anurag Rao said, “An artist’s interest and creativity is the core and we are continuously finding ways and creating new opportunities to amplify the artist, their musical works and partnerships, while presenting independent music in a bigger and broader manner. This enables us to provide immense value to every stake holder in the process and opens up a new paradigm in the music business.”
The track, which will be soon available on Gaana and Saavn, is a collaboration between singer Siddharth Mahadevan, composer Soumil Shringarpure, lyricist Manoj Yadav and Farout Media. Mahadevan said, “I believe the lyrics, melody and vocals are integral to creating a track. And with this one, we wanted to retain its youth appeal while ensuring the tempo of the song was constant and captured the motivational essence of the song. It has been great collaborating Farout Media, Zee and we have all rightly joined hands for the first for this great alliance. I am excited to be part of this campaign and looking forward to the audience reaction.”
The partnership with Star Movies and Farout Media happened earlier this year, and revolved around creating a music video to promote the film ‘X-Men: Days of the Future Past’. The track ‘Mutant Macha’ was created by Farhan Akhtar, Vishal Dadlani and SKRAT. In July, Farout Media, which was founded by Akhtar and Rao, created a 5-minute format ‘On the Road' Project, which was to be aired on Zoom TV. The deal with Zoom TV is a two-year agreement. Commenting in his associations, Rao added. “Our partnership with Zee TV is another testimony to the fact that the dynamics of the industry are changing across its value chain and it is great to see this kind of support coming from a major broadcast network in breaking a completely new song, in a massive campaign around their TV programming and GEC network. We consider this innovation a step ahead in structurally changing the indie music market from a marketing, distribution stand point and going deeper toward the music publishing, artist management business and artist-fan connect.”
Zee TV business head Pradeep Hejmadi said, “We are pleased to present audiences with an inspiring anthem that embodies the spirit of our show – ‘I Can Do That’. It moves the listener, motivating one to push his limits and reach out to their fullest potential.”
Farout Media has been actively involved many such music innovations which includes ‘Chulein Aasman’ - a song dedicated to gender equality and women empowerment, and 'Tension Kyun Lete Ho Yaar' for Yepme.
