MUMBAI: For the 44th week of the calendar year 2015, Radio City replaced Big FM in Mumbai for the top spot. With TSL of 5.2, Radio City had the same share per cent in market at 17.6, a growth by 0.6 per cent, whereas a dip by 0.2 per cent for Big FM compared to 43rd week. Fever FM had the maximum TSL of 6.48 in Mumbai for the week, although it stayed in the third position with 14.6 per cent share, a fall by 0.4 per cent as compared to last week.
Radio Mirchi retained its fourth position with a 0.2 per cent fall in share to 13.5 and a fall in TSL by 0.10 to 4.12. Red FM continued its run in fifth position for the latest week with a rise to 10.9 per cent in market shares and TSL to 4.1, compared to 10.1 per cent and 3.47, respectively, in the previous week. Oye FM slipped down by a position to seventh with its market share seeing a dip from 3.3 per cent to 2.9 per cent and TSL dropping from 3.07 to 2.46.
In Delhi, Fever FM witnessed a growth in market share by 0.3 per cent to 19.6 per cent, and TSL of 5.02 (compared to 4.53 in the last week) to secure top position. Radio Mirchi retained second spot despite a fall in shares (by 0.4 per cent to 13.3) and TSL of 3.29 (from 3.47 in week 43). Big FM secured third position for a second consecutive week with 13 per cent market share and TSL of 4.09. Fourth, fifth and sixth positions were retained by Radio City, Red FM and Oye FM, in that order, with the stations registering shares of 12.2 per cent, 10.2 per cent and 6.7 per cent, respectively.
In the city of Kolkata, the top spot was retained by Radio Mirchi, which saw an increase in shares, from 18.6 per cent to 20.2 per cent and which went up from 3.55 to 4.35. Fever FM dropped to 14.3 per cent in market shares and TSL of 5.13, falling to third place. Replacing Fever FM in the second spot was Big FM, which saw growth by 0.6 per cent to 15.2 per cent market share, and TSL of 4.39 (compared to 4.31 last week).
Oye FM retained fourth position with no change in its market shares, but witnessed a rise in TSL to 3.44 (compared to 3.31 in the previous week). Aamar FM’s shares decreased from 9.7 per cent to 8.9 per cent, where the TSL was reduced to 3.2 (compared to 3.42 in week 43). Positions of Friends FM and Power FM remain unchanged with shares growing from 4.3 per cent to 5.2 per cent and 1.8 per cent to 2 per cent, respectively.
No changes to the positions in the city of Bengaluru ensured that Radio City retained the top spot, with market shares of 23 per cent and TSL- 9.51, followed by Big FM which saw market shares of 21.6 per cent and TSL- 8.37. The third position was retained by Radio Mirchi, which observed growth by 0.1 per cent compared to last week, gaining 16.8 per cent in shares, while Fever FM saw a slight dip in shares from 13.9 per cent to 13.7 per cent, this week. Red FM (market share- 5.4 per cent; TSL- 3.59), Radio One (market share- 3.9; TSL- 4.01) and Radio Indigo (market shares- 1.9 per cent; TSL- 2.55) retain the fifth, sixth and seventh positions in the city’s ranking for week 43.
