Nine FM celebrates Rabindranath Tagore's 151st birth anniv

MUMBAI: Nine FM paid a tribute to nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his 151st birth anniversary by inviting rabindra sangeet singer �Bula Bandhopadhyay' and acclaimed poet and professor �Samar Chakraborty' to the studio. Bula Bandhopadhyay performed live for the listeners and also expressed her love for Tagore's poetry and Samar Chakraborty shared Tagore's love for North Bengal and his work. Listeners were invited to share their favourite work from Tagore's repertoire and the best recitations were awarded by Nine FM.

Radio One turns Ebidta positive in FY'11

MUMBAI: Radio One, the FM brand under Next Mediaworks Ltd (earlier Mid-Day Multimedia), has turned Ebidta positive for the full fiscal 2010-11. The company has posted an Ebidta profit of Rs 40.5 million for the year ended 31 March 2011, as against a loss of Rs 17.4 million in the year ago period. The company also reported a 46 per cent jump in its total revenue during the fiscal. It posted revenue of Rs 441.30 million, as against Rs 303.1 million in the year ago period.
