MUMBAI: Artist Aloud – The App, India’s only independent content app for fans, artists, producers and labels, along with Indi.com brings an exciting contest for aspiring bands with a new property Artist Aloud LA Calling. This contest will give bands a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to LA and meet the most celebrated Grammy award winning producer & musician John Shanks.

A legend in his own right, Shanks won the Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical in 2005 for his work on Autobiography, the Kelly Clarkson song ‘Breakaway’, Hilary Duff's ‘Fly’, Robbie Robertson's ‘Shine Your Light’ and Alanis Morissette's album So-Called Chaos. He is also described as ‘the father of that guitar-driven kind of pop sound’ by Clive Davis. His other remarkable work includes The Backstreet Boys ‘Never Gone’ and Bon Jovi's ‘Have a Nice Day’.

The participants can enter the contest by uploading their original content video on Indi.com. Starting from 1 December, 2016, Artist Aloud and Indi.com will shortlist the top 10 bands and the winner will be decided by John Shanks himself. The winner will get a chance to travel to Los Angeles. That’s not all, the winner of the LA Calling contest will also get to meet and be mentored by John Shanks. Also as a part of the rewards, the winning band may also get an opportunity to perform at Hard Rock Cafe LA or some other similar venue.
