RAM week 10: BIG FM recovers in shares; continues to dominate in Mumbai

MUMBAI: BIG FM recovered after a drop in shares during the Week 09, with the latest figure of 18.4 per cent, and T.S.L. of 6.46, helps the station regain the top position in Mumbai. Radio City retained the position and the shares at the end of Week 10, although an increase in T.S.L. (from 5.19 to 5.26) provides the station a comparatively better week. Fever FM retained the third position, with a 0.6 per cent growth in shares (from 13.9 per cent to 14.5 per cent) at the end of Week 10. Despite the drop in T.S.L. figures, Fever FM continues to dominate the category in Mumbai. Radio Mirchi (14.3 per cent shares), Red FM (11.3 per cent shares) and Oye! FM (3.2 per cent) follow at the fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.

In Delhi too, the best performer - Fever FM - recovered in shares and retained the top spot with the shares of 19.6 per cent and T.S.L increased from 4.48 to 4.56. Radio Mirchi continues its chase for the top position with shares rising by 0.1 per cent, and retaining the second position with the shares of 13.9 per cent. Radio City finished the week at the third position, despite a minor drop in shares, with 11.8 per cent and T.S.L. of 3.25. BIG FM's chase for replacing Radio City at the third position hits a minor bump with 0.2 per cent drop in shares. However the Week 10 figures of 11.6 per cent and T.S.L. of 3.28 helped BIG FM retain the fourth position. Red FM (shares- 10.7 per cent), Oye! FM (shares- 6.2 per cent) finish the week at fifth and sixth positions, respectively. Hit FM had a week to forget with a 0.5 per cent drop in shares, resulting to 3.6 per cent at the end of Week 10.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi's escalation in shares rekindled, after a disappointing Week 09, with Week 10's figures rising to 19.2 per cent, thus helping the station retain the top position in the city. However, the drop in shares by 0.4 per cent did not stop BIG FM from retaining the second position. BIG FM's shares dropped to 15.5 per cent, while T.S.L. increased by 0.1, resulting to 5.26 . Fever FM finished Week 10 at the third position with the shares dropping to 15 per cent and T.S.L dropping down to 5.19. Oye! FM retains the fourth position with shares of 10.4 per cent. Aamar FM (shares- 8.9 per cent; T.S.L.- 3.48), Red FM (shares - 8.4 per cent, T.S.L - 3.02). Friends FM (5.4 per cent) and Power FM (2.8 per cent) retain last week's positions at the bottom of the chart.

Radio City Bengaluru continues to growth in shares, with the latest week's figures rising to 24.4 per cent. The station continues to dominate in T.S.L.- 10.29 (highest in the city). Big FM's shares dropped for the second consecutive week. Although the factor is concerning, the Week 10 figures (shares - 20.2 per cent, T.S.L- 8.13) guaranteed the second position in Bengaluru. Radio Mirchi's shares increased from 16.6 per cent to 16.8 per cent, retaining the third position. Fever FM (14.3 per cent), and Red FM (5.4 per cent) finished the week at fourth and fifth positions respectively. Radio Indigo recorded the lowest per cent of shares in the city (1.5) and T.S.L of 2.25.
