RAM week 11: Top performers drop shares; retain the positions

MUMBAI: After a steady recovery last week, BIG FM’s shares dropped by 0.4 per cent, thus finishing the week 11 with 18 per cent shares and T.S.L. dropped to 6.19. The figures, however, ensure BIG FM’s consistent success and stay at top of the charts in Mumbai. Radio City missed on the opportunity to minimise the gap to the top, as the station dropped its shares from 16.1 per cent to 15.9 per cent (and T.S.L. dropped from 5.26 to 5.16). Fever FM’s 0.1 per cent rise in shares, compared to the last week, helps the station retain the third position (shares – 14.6 per cent) at the end of the latest week. Fever FM continues to have the best T.S.L. in the city (6.55). Radio Mirchi (14.4 per cent shares), Red FM (11.6 per cent shares) and Oye! FM (3.1 per cent) follow at the fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively.

Delhi’s top performer for the last week - Fever FM – faced a minor drop in shares (0.1 per cent), however the T.S.L. rose from 4.56 to 4.59. The station retained the top spot with the shares of 19.5 per cent – a comfortable 6.6 per cent lead over Radio Mirchi that had the worst drop in shares for week 11. The station’s shares dipped from 13.9 per cent to 12.9 per cent and the T.S.L. tumbled to 3.17 (from last week’s 3.29). BIG FM caused the only change in the positions by replacing Radio City for the third position. Rise in shares from 11.6 per cent to 12.3 per cent helped BIG FM climb up a position. Radio City dropped 0.8 per cent, and a position, to end the week 11 at the fourth position. The bottom half remains unchanged with Red FM (10.9 per cent), Oye! FM (6.3 per cent) and Hit FM (3.9 per cent) retain the last week's positions.

The drop in shares for the top performers extended to Kolkata as Radio Mirchi’s figures dropped down to 18.3 per cent (from the last week’s 19.2 per cent), and T.S.L. dropped to 4.27. BIG FM, however, closed the gap to the top position with rise in shares, resulting to 15.9 per cent. Fever FM’s 15.4 per cent shares helped the station retain the third position. Oye! FM, Aamar FM and Red FM followed the top three, and retained fourth, fifth and sixth positions respectively with shares of 10.1 per cent, 9.4 per cent and 8.8 per cent. Friends FM (4.1 per cent) and Power FM (3.2 per cent) retain last week's positions at the bottom of the chart.

After a consistent rise in shares for over a month, Radio City Bengaluru dropped down to 23.8 per cent (a fall by 0.6 per cent), however continues to dominate in T.S.L. with the figure of 10.16. BIG FM’s figures dropped (for the third consecutive week) to 20 per cent. Radio Mirchi’s chase to the second position receives a positive impact with week 11’s shares increasing from 16.8 per cent to 17 per cent, retaining the third position. Fever FM (14.6 per cent), and Red FM (5.6 per cent) finished the week at fourth and fifth positions respectively.
