Radio Mirchi beats Fever and Radio City; Big FM seizes top position in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Week 37 in Mumbai saw a few ripples in the top four slots. Radio Mirchi which was at fourth position beat Fever and Radio City with a share of 14.2 per cent and TSL of 4.21, and climbed to the second position.

Usual leader Big FM raised its share slightly from 15.8 per cent to 15.9 and a TSL of 5.33, still completed the week at the peak.

Fever got third position by dropping shares from 14.5 to 14.2 per cent with TSL of 5.52 and Radio City is pushed to the fourth position with shares of 13.8 per cent and TSL of 4.44 (last week it was 14 per cent and TSL - 4.22).

Red FM got a share of 11.6 per cent and TSL of 3.57, to take a seat at fifth place. Radio Nasha, Oye FM and Radio One got the sixth, seventh and eighth place with shares of 7.4, 3.1, 3 and TSL of 5.04, 2.52, and 2.08 in that order. Redtro came in last in the country's economic capital with shares of 2.2 along with TSL 4.22 respectively.

In a repeat of last week's numbers, Delhi was again dominated by Fever FM with increased shares of 18.2 per cent and TSL of 4.58 (last week share - 17.6 per cent and TSL 5.25).

Radio Mirchi maintained its second position with increasing shares of 13. 8 per cent and TSL of 3.39. However, the struggle is in the third and fourth positions. Radio City and Radio Nasha continue to fight for the third and fourth places. Radio Nasha beat Radio City, holding third position in week 37 with shares of 10.9 and TSL of 3.59 (Last week’s fourth position holder with shares of 10.4, TSL- 3.54). Radio City dropped its shares from 10.8 to 10.4 with TSL of 3.25 and held the fourth position.

In week 37, Red FM, Big FM, and Oye! FM got fifth, sixth and seventh position with shares of 9.9, 9.2, and 5 per cent along with TSL of 3.05, 3.16 and 2.26 in that order.

Hit 95 FM and Radio One finished week 37 at bottom two along with shares of 4.3 and 2.3 with TSL of 2.52 and 1.35.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi remained the only leader with a significant margin over its rivals. Mirchi got 20.3 per cent share with TSL of 4.37 (last week it was 20.4, TSL- 4.35). Big FM got the second position with a share of 15.8 per cent and TSL of 4.52, whereas Fever FM Kolkata had to be happy with the third position with a share of 14.7 per cent and TSL of 5.3. Oye! FM increased its share from 10.6 to 11.2 per cent and TSL of 3.54 and positioned itself at the fourth.

Red FM finished the week at fifth and Aamar FM at sixth position with shares of 9.3 and 8.9 per cent and TSL of 3.09 and 3.32. Friends FM sheltered at the bottom with the share of 4.4 per cent and TSL of 2.28.

In Bengaluru, Radio City increased its share from 23.4 to 23.9 per cent with TSL of 10.08 but remained at the peak. Big FM remained at second position with decreased shares of 19.8 from 20.1 per cent with the TSL of 7.14. Radio Mirchi, Fever FM, and Red FM got the third, fourth and fifth positions with shares of 18.3, 13.4, and 5.9 along with TSL of 7.23, 7.44, 3.5 in that order.

Radio Indigo and Radio Mirchi 95 finished the week 37 at the bottom of the chart with shares of 1.9 and 0.8 per cent respectively.
