Radio City dominates two major cities

MUMBAI: Radio City rules in two cities namely Mumbai and Bangalore. Even though the Time Spending Listening (TSL) of Radio City Mumbai is 5.45 which is lower than Akashavani, Fever FM and Big FM. The TSL of Radio City Bangalore is much higher compared to all the four cities which is 10.24.

According to RAM (Radio Audience Measurement) data for the 45 week, the retro station Big FM Mumbai ranked in the second place in the table and the hottest station Radio Mirchi moved to the third place. The market share of Big FM last week was 18.2 per cent which is 0.4 per cent lower compared to this week with 17.8 per cent market share. Radio Mirchi, Fever FM, AIR FM and Red FM hold a market share of 14.1, 13, 11.1 and 10.7 per cent respectively.

In Delhi, Fever FM is still leading, followed by AIR FM2-Gold, Radio Mirchi, Radio City and Big FM. The TSL of Fever FM Delhi is the highest with 5.09. The AIR FM2-Gold moved ahead in the table by pushing Radio Mirchi to the third position, with 15.1 and 14.5 per cent market share respectively.

In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi is holding the top position with a market share of 21 per cent. Meanwhile, Big FM, Oye, Aamar FM and Red FM hold a market share of 17.1, 10.1, 9.7, and 9.5 per cent respectively. The TSL of Big FM is highest with 5.14. The top three positions this week is dominated by same players, however, Red FM has lost to Aamar FM.

Radio City is still leading in Bangalore with a market share of 24.3 per cent this week which is 0.7 per cent higher than last week with 23.6 per cent market share. Big FM is still holding on to the second position with 21.2 per cent market share. Then, there is Radio Mirchi ranked third in the table with 16.6 per cent, then followed by Fever FM and AIR FM1-Vividh Bharati.
