RAM Week 40: Radio City jumps to second spot in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Week 40 emerged as a mixed bag since most of the stations lost at few points in some cities while maintained status quo in others. Radio City managed to grab the second position in Mumbai pushing Red FM behind. The station lost points in Bangalore while maintained status quo in Delhi. Big FM remained static in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai while lost a tiny margin in Bangalore. AIR FM Gold maintained a steady pace gaining few points in all the cities. In week 40, Radio Mirchi lost few points in Bangalore, Delhi as well as Mumbai. Kolkata was the only silver lining for the station where it gained few points.

Bangalore - In week 40, leader Big FM lost 0.1 point with a market share of 19.5 per cent. Radio Mirchi also slipped in the city losing 0.2 points to end with a market share of 17.8 per cent. Fever gained 0.1 point at 15.6 per cent market share  Radio City saw dip in numbers. The station lost 0.3 points to end with 12.5 per cent market share. AIR FM Rainbow gained 0.2 points to end with 9.7 per cent market share. Red FM led the battle for sixth position as it inched forward to 0.3 points to end the week at 8.4 per cent. Losing the spot, Radio One shed 0.4 point to keep 8.3 per cent of market share. The battle for sixth position will be interesting to observe next week. AIR FM Vividh Bharti added an impressive 0.8 points to its kitty to climb up and end the week at 4.9 per cent of market share.

Delhi - Radio Mirchi lost 0.3 points in the Capital though maintained lead at 24.2 per cent of the market share. Fever maintained status quo at 18.2 per cent. At third spot, AIR FM Gold added 0.1 point to end the week at 17.3 per cent. Red FM lost 0.3 points in the city to keep 9.1 per cent. Both Radio City at 8.9 per cent and Big FM at 7.5 per cent remained static in week 40 occupying the fifth and sixth spot respectively. Radio One lost 0.2 points to end with a share of 5.4 per cent. Meow now turned to Oye! FM gained 0.3 points at 3.2 per cent followed by AIR FM Rainbow which gained 0.4 points to end the week at 2.1 per cent.

Kolkata - Leader Radio Mirchi gained 0.2 points and maintained the numero uno position at 20.7 per cent. At second spot Big Fm maintained status quo at 17.9 per cent. Friends FM added 0.3 points to end the week at 11.3 per cent. Aamar Fm lost 0.1 point to keep 10.8 per cent of market share. At fifth spot Fever FM remained static with 8.8 per cent market share. Similarly, Red FM also maintained status quo for the sixth spot at 8.5 per cent of market share. Both Oye! FM and AIR FM Rainbow lost 0.4 points in the city to keep 4.2 and 3.5 per cent of market share respectively.

Mumbai - Radio Mirchi lost 0.2 points in the city at 17.5 per cent. Radio City upped its ante in week 40 to grab the second spot by gaining 0.2 points and end with a market share of 13.5 per cent. Losing 0.1 point, Red FM slipped to the third spot with a market share of 13.2 per cent. It will be interesting to see the heated battle for the second spot next week. Big FM maintained status quo at 11.8 per cent followed closely by AIR FM Gold which added 0.1 point to end with a market share of 11.6 per cent. At sixth spot Fever FM remained still to end the week at 11.2 per cent. Radio One inched forward in the city as it gained 0.3 points to end with a share of 6.6 per cent.
