The fact that my music is now out in India is just super exciting! I’m very happy to have this opportunity and having someone like 9122 Records on board is great. The feedback and response from people has been very good so far. I’m looking forward to more!
How did this association with 9122 Records happen? How was your experience of working with them?
There are multiple factors that played together in order that this collaboration actually happened. My manager did his part of the job and Sunil from 9122 Records is into my music and wanted to make this happen. He basically came across my music on an A&R Worldwide newsletter. These were the three fundaments and starting points for this release in India.
Working with them has been very good so far, they do an incredible job and get things done! I truly appreciate having people like this who believe in the music on my team.

At 22 you sing and write songs, when did all begin?
I guess I’ve always been drawn to music. Ever since I was a little girl, I just really enjoyed singing and participated in school choirs and bands whenever I had the chance to. Eventually people started saying that they like my voice, I started playing the guitar in 4th grade, discovered the craft of songwriting and so on. It was always a very natural thing for me to do. And well, here I am today!
Who is your biggest motivation, who inspired you to pursue your music career?
I’ve got a couple of artists that I look up to, but one of my biggest inspirations is Amy Winehouse. I love her music, lyrics are so clever and beautiful. She was able to capture emotions and situations like no one else.
What is soul pop?
Its soul influenced pop music. I just love Soul as a genre; the whole Motown-era is honey to my ears. Soul as something inside us human beings is a magical ingredient that we put into things that we love.
How would you define pop? What difference do you find in pop songs made in other parts of the world like India?
That’s a tough one…! I guess the broad definition of pop is popular music. It is the music that somehow reaches the masses and is capable to have many people listening to it. It is a very vast description, but it’s the beauty of it. Here an example: Both Dua Lipa and Adele make pop music in my opinion. Of course, they both have different influences, but they both seem to reach many people with their music. But, there are common particularities in the structure of a pop song, tendencies of chord progressions etc., which the theoretic aspect of it.
What other genres you love to sing and write for?
As mentioned before, I love soul music. I’d also say that I am quite singer/songwriter influenced, and I love listening to jazz standards.
What is your ambitious project or the biggest dream in the world of music, you aim to achieve?
I’d like to be able to tour the world, and have the world listening to my music. Make a change, whether if it’s just in a single person’s life or in multiple ones, I want to make the best music I could possibly make.
What makes you stand out among the many musicians?
Well, a good question. I guess just being me makes the difference. There’s no second me on this planet.
What are your hobbies?
Music takes over my life quite a bit, so I don’t have a lot of space for hobbies. I really like to go out with friends and family and eat something nice, but I’m not sure if you can consider this a hobby ;) I used to play football quite a lot, and I still really like to do so but I don’t make the time to do it. I rather sit in the studio and work on new songs.
