Share us your experiences or any personal favourite moment while working with the country’s biggest Music Icons.
I have been truly blessed and the experience to work with all these stellar artists has been simply fantastic & overwhelming. Firstly, I did know most of them via a few previous projects we’ve worked together on, in my 11 years of varied experience across projects as a Bollywood singer.
I have always admired Javed Ali’s vocals and the soul he brings to a song. I’ve sung for Jeet Ganguly Sir for a few film song recordings so knowing he was part of this show was such a happy feeling for me. Familiar people, musicians I admire.
Apparently, I had completely forgotten that I shared the stage with Indian Ocean on their MTV Unplugged episode years ago. I had also briefly spoken to Revanth 6 months earlier about another musical project and I’ve been a huge fan of Harrdy Sandhu’s songs, especially his song NAH and Such Na Sake, which I’ve been singing on my live shows and concerts globally. Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai are the only artists I hadn’t met earlier, but I’ve loved their songs as I do follow the Punjabi music industry’s music scene very closely and Jassie’s Nikle Current song with Neha Kakkar is one of my favourites.
I feel it’s such a small world and an even close-knit music industry and I am truly honoured to share screen with these musical Icons of our nation on this fantastic travel-music bus show!
How do you master this sense of humour and the talent within you to be a host?
I simply decided to be my authentic true fun self and this is what worked in my favour and also what the Producers of the show loved about me; the spontaneous energy, quirky style, infectious laugh (as they say) and just the happy positive vibes that I always radiate & and pass onto others, that worked in my favour!
How do you like the concept of the show? How do you think it's going to impact people?
I absolutely loved the concept when I heard it the first time. When you combine the best things, we like to do in life as general people; be it Traveling, listening to good local Music, explore delicious cuisines and experience different cultures in one extremely artistically packaged show with a funky, exquisite music bus (and a cool Host yours truly) to take us around Incredible India, how can one not fall in love with the concept!
I truly believe the show has impacted many people For e.g.: - the undiscovered talent, the people who shared their lives and cultures, stories with us during our interactions and the joy it brought to all of us, enriching everyone, viewers and participants alike. It’s a light hearted show, which every music and travel enthusiast will relate to.
