EMI releases new album with Pt Jasraj

MUMBAI: EMI Music has released 'Upasana', a series of devotional recordings at the 'Pt Motiram & Pt Maniram Sangeet Samaroh' in Hyderabad. The devotional four CD compilation is a portrait of Panditji's musical pursuit and love for the almighty. The music is composed by Kedar Pandit, says a release issued on 16 January.

MUMBAI: Sun TV Network has launched S FM at Rajabmundry through its subsidiary Kal Radio, taking the total number of stations to 20 across India. Sun TV already operates in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Tirupati, Madurai, Tuticorin, Lucknow, Bhopal, Pondicherry, Kozhikode (Calicut), Indore, Vijayawada, Varanasi and Tiruchy. Sun TV will launch 25 stations to become operational in 45 FM stations all over India.

Red FM, Cry come together to spread awareness about basic education

MUMBAI: In an attempt to spread awareness about basic education among children aged 6-14 years, Red FM, in association with Cry, has initiated a "Sabko Shiksha Saman Shiksha" campaign. BBC to get audio, text news to mobiles

MUMBAI:The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is set to bring audio and text mobile news services into India. BBC already provides the news on mobile service in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Talks are on with mobile service providers in India and the deals are likely to be sealed in a few weeks, sources say. While text news alert services are not a new concept for Indian mobile phone users, audio news services would be a novelty in this country.
