Radio One to run Ultimate Aussie Cricket Fan contest

MUMBAI: Radio One is scheduled to run Ultimate Aussie Cricket Fan contest in Mumbai and Delhi. A six-week challenge that will test participants' knowledge on Australian cricket and on Australia as a holiday destination, Ultimate Aussie Cricket Fan is organised by Tourism Australia in co-operation with Cricket Australia. The contest is also supported by the Mid Day newspaper.

9X ropes in Emami as associate sponsor for Mission Ustaad

MUMBAI: INX Media's Hindi general entertainment channel 9X has roped in Emami as associate sponsor for its music reality show Mission Ustaad. Emami joins Mission Ustaad's three Platinum Sponsors - Future Group, Vimal and Vodafone. Reliance Industries, Future Group and Vodafone have joined Club INX as 9X brand partners and Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), has also signed a three-year advertising deal with the channel.

Radio City ties up with 'I am Legend'

MUMBAI: Radio City 91.1 FM has tied up with Warner Bros Pictures for the Will Smith starrer I am Legend. As part of the tie-up, Radio City is running a contest in the show City City Bang Bang. Winners in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai will win a 25-couple access to a weekend screening of the sci-fi. Radio City national head, marketing, Rana Barua said, "All our associations are driven by the value we can jointly offer to our discerning listeners."

Jeevan TV to launch song and dance reality show

MUMBAI: Kerala TV channel Jeevan TV will launch a reality show titled '2 Crore Apple Megastar' on 1 February 2008. The show, that will carry a total prize money of Rs 20 million, will select the best male and female singers and dancers. Says Jeevan TV managing director Baby Mathew, "The total prize money to be won would be Rs 20 million. The contest would be open to people between 15 and 30 years. All those interested would have to get in touch with the channel before 15 January."

It will provide retail platform for mobile users to buy legal and rich content like games, applications, movies, and music in an offline format. The company claims to have acquired the licence to distribute over 500 movies, which include regional titles in many languages, in addition to Bollywood movies, over 5000 songs, and huge numbers of wall papers and games.
