MUMBAI: Eminent flautist Pandit Ronu Majumdar's album 'Bansuri' was launched at south Mumbai's Planet M on Monday. Released by Worldwide Music, the album was launched by well known music director Vishal Bharadwaj . Pt Majumdar, along with two of his musicians, enchanted those present at the launch by playing a few selected picks from his album.

Media reports say that Sony BMG will make at least part of its collection available without digital rights management (DRM). DRM restricts the use of music downloaded from the Internet. Sony BMG will become the last of the top four music labels to drop DRM, following Warner Music Group, EMI and Vivendi's Universal Music Group.

MUMBAI: Saibaba Telefilms promoter Gajendrra Singh, synonymous with music talent hunts on television, now plans to diversify into other genres. Singh now plans to make a feature film, a fiction show for television as well a different genre of reality show for TV. These three different genres are part of Singh's plans for 2008, he told www.radioandmusic.com in an exclusive chat. Among his plans are a show for NDTV Good Times, details of which he does not want to divulge at this stage.
