MUMBAI: A special concert has been organized to remember the late ghazal king Mehdi Hassan on 28 September at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai. The concert will feature some of Hassan’s classic ghazals, a music genre based on poetry dedicated to the themes of love and separation and a guest performance by singer Sajjad Ali. Pakistani compere Anwar Maqsood will relate some experiences he shared with Hassan, while singer Ali Abbas will perform on some of the late artist’s ghazals.
