MUMBAI: Singer-music director Shibani Kashyap performed live with her newly formed band - Sojourn, at Mumbai's Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday night. Often at music launches, it happens that except 'good music', one gets the best of everything – food, wine, brilliant atmosphere, stunning women and of course, those unavoidable long-short speeches. I waited for a good 15 minutes at the 'Tabeer' music launch. On the 16th minute (no, my watch was not set on a countdown, just a guess) I saw the guitarist and the bass player tune their respective instruments – it was like a ray of hope. Within moments, all the musicians were up on stage and what happened after that was, in one word – 'mesmerizing'.
