Mumbai:- All India Radio has opened a helpline and website for the flood affected persons in Bihar. This helpline is meant to help the affected people in the current Bihar floods. People can post as well as view the details of missing/found persons in this disaster. This information will be used for broadcast by All India Radio Stations in the affected areas. My FM launches new weekend shows

MUMBAI: Synergy Media's My FM has planned new weekend programmes for all 17 stations in seven states. The new show line up Shaniwar-Moneywar, Ek Din Ka RJ, Chhatha Tatwa and Premdev, shows targeted at youth and focused on entertainment and information. Sony to premiere Indian Idol 4 on 19 September

MUMBAI: Filling up its weekend prime time, Sony Entertainment Television (Set) is launching the fourth seaon of Indian Idol 4 on 19 September at 9 pm. Produced by Miditech, the music based reality show will replace Sony's big ticket show Dus Ka Dum which ends on 13 September.

Nokia, Vh1 launch 'ShotByU 3.0' for Bryan Adams' latest Oxygen

MUMBAI: The international music and lifestyle channel Vh1 and cellphone manufacturer Nokia have partnered third time to launch ShotByU 3.0..., for Bryan Adams' latest single –Oxygen. Viewers can send user generated content to be a part of music videos. Viewers have to listen to the song and use camera phones to shoot a video of what they believe is �as important as oxygen'. NEW DELHI: The Indian cabinet approved companies holding FM licenses to set up subsidiaries on Thursday. The foreign investment limit of 20 per cent would stay, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi a news conference, says a Reuters report.

Pending VOA Hindi closure upsets fans

MUMBAI: The impending closure of Voice of America's Hindi service on 30 September appears to upset loyal listeners, particularly from the country's Hindi belt, who have been tuned into the service for years now. The services's Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) has announced that the VoA Hindi radio service will be terminated from the end of this month, a move that has also stunned its stringers and correspondents based in India.
