T-Series gets music rights of first Siddhivinayak Trust film

Music label T-Series has acquired the music rights of devotional Hindi film Vignaharta Shree Siddhivinayak, a feature film produced by the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust. This is the first time the Trust has produced a film on the renowend Ganesh temple in Mumbai, Siddhivinayak, in joint venture with Vistas Media Pvt Limited.

Radio Misty celebrates Sunday with BSF

Radio Misty celebrated last Sunday with the Border Security Force jawans and officers in Dudhia in Darjeeling District. RJ Nupur hosted different games, songs and music shows with the jawans.Gifts and badges of the station were distributed to the winners. Speaking on the occasion, BSF deputy insepector general Rajmal Kadian said that this was a memorable day for the jawans who enjoyed with the radio jockeys of Radio Misty.He said that this show had given an oppourtunity to the jawans to show their talent.

Radio Mirchi's new stations reach break even

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi has widened its revenue base with the launch of new FM radio stations across the country. While the top markets are still the predominant revenue contributors, an important development is that the 22 stations launched in the relatively smaller towns during the last fiscal have reached break even at the operational level. The revenue flow from these stations for FY'08 is Rs 340 million, coming from the national advertisers. Entertainment Network (India) Ltd, which operates Radio Mirchi, had posted a standalone revenue of Rs 2.29 billion.

Cell phone services ads rule radio

Cellular phone services continued to reign over radio airwaves as one of the top categories of advertisers in the month of July 2008. Not surprisingly, Tata Teleservices and Bharti Airtel listed as the top advertisers, with their brands Airtel mCheck and Virgin V Bling Phones ruling the roost. Cellular phone services cornered 520,000 seconds of ads across FM stations in the country, according to the Radio Adex data compiled by Tam Media Research, which currently monitors 44 radio stations across seven cities.
