Taylor Swift talks about secret sessions with fans and coping with fame

MUMBAI: Singer Taylor Swift organised secret sessions with her fans at her four different homes and says they lasted a whopping five hours.

The 24-year-old star invited 89 fans to each of her four homes for an advance listening party of her album.

When Letterman asked about the parental guidance of the young fans, Swift said that if they were below the age of 18 than their parents were allowed.

"If (the guests) were under 18, then they could bring their parents, which was hilarious," she said.

Singer Taylor Swift says coping with fame can be hard and she is "always" on the verge of tears.

"I am always, like, one half step away from crying, at any point,” contactmusic.com quoted Swift as saying.

The ‘Shake It Off’ hitmaker finds the best way to deal with her success is to spend time with her friends and she looks up to Lena Dunham, who she has quickly become ‘best friends’ with after initially thinking the actress was mocking her.

"I Googled her and I saw her quoting my lyrics and I thought, she has to be doing that ironically, she has to be making fun of me. I have this big loser complex from school,” she said.

The 24-year-old, who was just 17 when she released her first album, admits sometimes it can be hard to deal with the pressures of finding success so young. Swift, whose album 1989 released Oct 27, told TV Host David Letterman on his show that during those five hours the guests were fed dinner and got to hear the singer share amusing anecdotes, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
