Week 45 RAM: Four different metros ruled by four different stations

MUMBAI: For the 45th week (1 November to 7 November), Big FM maintained its last week’s figure of 17.6 per cent market share with a TSL of 6.13 in Mumbai, putting it first on the list of radio stations in the city. Last week’s best performer- Radio City, followed in second place with shares of 17 per cent and TSL of 5.32, a rise by 0.12 compared to week 44. Fever FM took third position with improved figures in market shares of 15.3 per cent, as compared to the 14.6 per cent it registered in the previous week.

The next two positions remain unchanged with Radio Mirchi FM and Red FM finishing fourth (market share- 13.2 per cent and TSL- 4.18) and fifth (market share- 10.1 per cent; TSL- 3.51), respectively. Oye! FM managed sixth place with 3.4 per cent in market share and TSL of 3.12.

In the national capital- Delhi, Fever FM regained the top position despite a minute fall in shares (from 19.6 per cent to 19.5 per cent). With a rise in shares (13.3 per cent to 13.9 per cent) and improved TSL (3.29 to 3.34), Radio Mirchi regained the second spot. Radio City finished a spot higher than the previous despite a fall by 0.1 per cent in shares (from 12.2 per cent to 12.1 per cent) and a TSL which increased from 3.35 to 3.37. Big FM claimed fourth spot with a market share of 11.4 per cent and TSL of 3.46, while Red FM (market share-10.6 per cent; TSL- 3.04) and Oye! FM (market share- 5.9 per cent; TSL- 2.32), finishing in fifth and sixth, respectively.

Although its market share fell to 22.3 per cent from last week’s 23 per cent, Radio City topped another city- Bengaluru. With the best TSL (10.08) in the city, the station once again, finished on top, ahead of Big FM (market share- 20.8 per cent; TSL- 8.31). The remaining positions in the city stayed the same as the previous week.

The top four positions remain unaffected in Kolkata, with Radio Mirchi leading week 45 even after a fall in market share to 19.6 per cent, followed by Big FM that registered a market share of 15.1 per cent. Fever FM (TSL of 5.14) and Oye! FM (TSL 3.59) regained third and fourth positions, managing 14.1 per cent and 10.4 per cent in market shares, respectively. Aamar FM finished in fifth spot this week (market share- 9.4 per cent and TSL- 4.01).
