MUMBAI: The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) has released data for the week 4 to 7 (22-01-2012 to 18-02-2012). It was a memorable week for Radio City that surged ahead of rivals in Mumbai and Bangalore establishing a strong grip with gains in all the three metros.
Radio Mirchi still a strong Number 1 in Kolkata dropped in other metros, while Fever FM emerged as a clear market leader in Delhi but with a small loss of 0.3% share.
Mumbai: Radio City emerged as a clear market leader with 15.5% share (+0.6%), leaving behind the leader Radio Mirchi at the second spot with 15% (-0.3%) and AIR FM2-Gold with 13.9% (+0.1%).
Delhi: Fever FM 104 strengthened its position reaching a market share of 18.4% but lost slightly with 0.3% points. AIR FM2-Gold stayed neck to neck in the race and reached the second spot with 18.3% share, gaining 0.3% points. Radio Mirchi kept its third position with a loss of 0.6% points closing the week with a market share of 16.2%.
Bangalore: Radio City consolidated its lead in Bangalore too, gaining 0.7% points and ending the week with market share of 25.3%. Radio Mirchi claimed the second spot with a share of 22.3% losing 0.8% points, leaving behind traditional market leader Big FM who lost 0.5% points and closed the week at the third spot with 17.8% market share.
Kolkata: Radio Mirchi topped in Kolkata with a comfortable margin recording a market share of 23.8% (+0.2%), over Big FM which held second spot with a share of 16.9% losing a slim 0.2% points. Friends FM ended the week with a market share of 14.8% at the third position.
