DRM General Assembly in France to review progress of DRM across the globe, including India

NEW DELHI: India's status in the progress towards Digital Radio Mondiale in the light of the management of Prasar Bharati favouring the growth of FM will be presented at the General Assembly of the DRM Consortium on 19 and 20 March.

The meet is being hosted by Thomson Broadcast at their headquarters in Conflans Sainte Honorine near Paris, France. The theme for this year's event is ‘Clever Radio for Smart Countries'.

DRM Consortium Chairman Ruxandra Obreja has urged members to get together in Paris to review and exchange valuable information. "This will be a great opportunity, the only one in a year, to update the DRM family on the outstanding activity of the past 12 months and to set the strategy for the forthcoming year, the emphasis being on receiver development and expansion in markets that are getting into sharper DRM focus like Europe and Africa."
