MUMBAI: After garnering immense popularity with its distinct sound and flavour, the song ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ from the movie ‘Shanghai’ has run into controversy over its lyrics. Tejinder Bagga from the organization Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena has filed a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) in the Delhi High Court seeking a complete ban on the song and an interim stay on the release of the film on 8 June.

MUMBAI: Legendary singer Sir Paul McCartney has launched an online version of his home recording studio, giving fans a chance to remix his songs. The Beatles legend has uploaded four tracks, including the title song from his hit 1973 album ‘Band on the Run’ on his official website. Utilizing digital technology, users can adjust the effects, echo levels and volume of the instruments used in the tracks like drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

MUMBAI: Renowned music director Sandeep Chowta who has hosted several popular concerts in India is back with another musical offering. As part of the ‘Sandeep Chowta Project’, legendary American jazz guitarist John Abercrombie will perform a concert on 6 June at ST Andrew Auditorium in Bandra. Abercrombie will be accompanied by Gary Versace (guitar) and Adam Nussbaum (drums) at the concert, organized in association with Gibson Guitar.
