MUMBAI: Music composer Gaurav Dayal, better known for his 'Dil le gaye kudi' track, will soon launch an album 'Groove Punjab' with Big Music. The Punjabi hip hop album will have singers like Labh Janjua ('Mundiya tu bachke rahe'), Bally Sagoo, Malkit Singh and many others.
read moreMUMBAI: The merger of two major US satellite radio companies, XM and Sirius was on the verge of approval on Wednesday when Federal Communications Commission's republican member Deborah Taylor Tate was supposed to vote in favor of the deal. Tate's vote would break a deadlock along party lines among the other four commissioners. Tate would join Kevin J Martin, the chairman, in supporting the merger, with certain conditions, say reports.

MUMBAI: Percept Media has acquired the music rights of 'Ramchand Pakistani', the directorial debut of Mehreen Jabbar. The music, as well as the satellite rights of the film have been acquired by the production house for a period of five years. The songs of the movie have been composed by Debojyoti Mishra, who has also composed for movies like Chokher Bali, Raincot to name a few. The music rights have not yet sold to any label, and the production house is still in talks with music labels, officials say.
