NDTV Imagine to launch new music reality show Junoon in June

NEW DELHI: NDTV Imagine has unveiled its upcoming show Junoon Kuchh kar dikhane ka. The launch date for the bi-weekly show has not been finalised yet, but it will hit the TV screens sometime in June. Gajendrra Siingh's Saibaba Telefilms will produce the show for NDTV Imagine.

UK music industrys spat with Govt over iPod tax

MUMBAI: UKs Music Business Group (MBG) is miffed at the government over the proposal of legalizing the transfer of music from CDs to MP3 players without paying a levy. Apparently, the music industry on the contrary has proposed a tax on the devices that might play transferred music, principally MP3 players.

T-Series ties up with Channel V for Woodstock Villa

MUMBAI: White Feather Film's next, Woodstock Villa, which marks the debut of Sikander Kher, has sold its music rights to with T-Series. They have now tied up with Channel V for exclusive display of content and interviews. The film has been directed by Hansal Mehta and the music has been given by Anu Malik.T-Series President - marketing media publishing (TV) Vinod Bhanushali says, "Sikander is a hot favourite already, so the music will sell. The promos have just hit the channels." The activities will soon take off on Channel V.

eMusic downloads hit 200 mn mark

MUMBAI: eMusic, global digital retailer of independent music has announced that it has sold more than 200 million downloads since establishing its current subscription model in November 2003. eMusic also reports that it has sold 40 million downloads since the launch of Amazon MP3 on 25 September 2007.
